presenteou-nos com esta doce história.
by Thiago Forrest Gump
It would be a highly challenging task. The deep river laying a
few yards beyond was discouraging even for the bravest ones.
The dawn started growing into night and the moon brought
the coldness to the air. The wind blew hard and drifted some
withered leaves onto the river banks quite slowly though. So
before being caught under pouring rain the army quickly made up
a strategy: some leaves which would serve as skiffs were carried
by everyone, for they had to be taken across the river to the
other bank where the females and their offspring were waiting
for them. Such struggle for survival was carefully watched by
an owl’s scrutiny somewhere up in the trees, it was not easy.
Little by little the water level increased meaningfully and
the army endeavoured extraordinarily to get across the shady
dreary river. Their siblings’ eyes missed no movement while
this final challenge of coming back home took place. The first
ones started coming nearer. There was a trunk which they hoped
could be a bridge. One after the other the leaves were parked
around the trunk and an increasingly concerned ant colony stood
still hoping for all the males to return safely. Nevertheless, one
of the leaves got stuck between two rocks in the middle of the
river. And then when all of them - or nearly all of them - were
out of danger, they realized that someone had been left behind
and that his leaf was falling apart due to the flow strength. The
ant who wore a kerchief on her head was desperately staring at
everything from the other side while running back and forth.
Her sweetheart was the one who was getting drowned. There
was nothing else anybody could do, they could not possibly get
back; they could but watch. Then she tried to jump into the
water but everyone held her against her will.
She yelled and screamed and she got breathless from exhaustion.
And then he jumped out of his leaf making each and everyone
sigh in expectation of a most tragic event. And he sank. He came
up again just to sink anew. And then the river flow took him away
right before everybody’s eyes including the owl’s that stood there
She started running as fast as she could to the river edge,
leaping over the stones, crying out for him, and the entire colony
ran after her. Eventually, they found his body floating on its back.
She reached out to touch him. She pulled his face to her. She
kissed his cheeks gently to wake him up. But she could not. Then
he spit water trying to breath, “where am I?”.
She sighed deeply, smiling and crying at one time, “you were
in heaven, and now I, I am in paradise!” and she kissed him
caressing a twin face.

I’m taking on a short break
Might be back in a fortnight or so
Shall give my wings a little rest
And allow my legs to hit the road
Take good care everyone and
Feel a kiss blown onto your cheeks

A college professor
for one of my professors.
Across the way a door opened into a history class.
The professor, a tall balding white-haired man came in,
put his books down and looked out over the class.
"As you know, my goal in this class will not be to teach you
how to think for yourselves but to force you to conform to
my way of thinking."
As one, a hundred pens began scribbling on a hundred
notebooks and I could see a look of purest terror creeping
up over the professor's face.
"No, no!" he shouted. "That was a joke!"
For a moment every face turned up to look at him blankly.
Then, as one, they all laughed. When I left, the professor
was still staring at them, open-mouthed...

conhecer pessoas legais e fazer amizades. Adoro!!!
os desafios eletrônicos me dão muita preguiça. Sim, sim, eu
assumo! Lol...
“Soup of small letters”
I wonder if you, friends and readers, have noticed that in this
blog there are but words. For conveying ideas and saying what
I want to, I’ve elected the small letters as the only tool. I mean,
I do not publish pictures nor have all those blog devices which
I’m used to seeing in so many of the other blogs I visit. Well,
let me tell you why.
When I first started “dating” the computer we established
a person/typewriter kind of relationship. For I had come
straight from the typewriter to the PC and in it I could not
see any bigger possibilities. And that was good! All I had to
write, be it work or be it leisure, was perfectly possible by
means of my “sophisticated typewriter”.
Ok, then. The world wide web came true and I fell in love
with it! It is due to it that we could get in touch and make
friends with people throughout the world. Cheers!
So my first steps strolling along this huge little global
village made my “dating” evolve to typewriter + library
shelves. That is to say that I started cutting and pasting
quite often and for me that felt quite bold, too! I would
bring home bunches and bunches of stuff found in selected
world shelves, either in prints or floppy discs, which I used
for my professional activities translating and teaching.
Then time came to bring home the world itself! What an
amazingly nice feeling! In my own house! Oh my! Lol...
I can hardly believe it! Lol... And then I've plunged into the
blogosphere where I've been finding delightful possibilities
of acquainting nice people and making friends. I adore it!!!
But what I’d like you to know is that I’m still quite limited
in terms of computer skills. Actually, I’m all thumbs where
technology is concerned and electronical challenges can really
put me off so I’d rather give them up! Yeah, that’s me! Lol...
And apart from all that, I happen to be fond of what my blog
looks like the way it is now, so I’ve decided to remain within
my initial technical boundaries as a choice, for the time being.
The only inconvience is that I’m not able to bring here those
prizes you friends have been granting me. My dear ones, I do
thank you all now as I already have in your own blogs.
So, let me tell each and everyone of you who come and read
this corner that I grant you all the small letters of the world.
Here’s to you!!

It bids pretty fair
Don't mind a little think like the actors fighting.
The only thing I worry about is the sun.
We'll be all right if nothing goes wrong with the lighting.
by Robert Frost
A dear friend of mine publishes such a nice blog!
It's nice because he has bunches of fun doing it,
he does it because he likes doing it from his heart.
An now he's been disheartened because not everyone
who comes and reads and likes the pearls he spreads
around can say it in open. I don't like this! I think he
deserves a much better response and I wanted to say
it here with a little help from Robert Frost.

French is cool, too
levantei com vontade de postar este poema
do querido "poète buissoner" Jacques Prévert.
a repondu l'oiseau
a dit l'oiseau
