an eastern tale

after having created the sky and the earth

the flowers, the animals and the human beings

the gods created happiness

but where would happiness dwell?

deep down in the deepest abyss

or laying on the brightest star

yet concealed within the darkest cave?

they thought it over again and again

and eventually the oldest and wisest

of the gods made a decision

- let us hide it within

the very heart of people

that's where they are to find out happiness

if they can only search for it

após criarem o céu e a terra

as flores, os bichos e os seres humanos

os deuses criaram a felicidade

mas onde viveria a felicidade?

dentro do abismo mais profundo

ou pousada na estrela mais luminosa

ou oculta na caverna mais escura?

eles pensaram, pensaram

e afinal o mais velho

e mais sábio dos deuses decidiu

- vamos escondê-la dentro do próprio

coração das pessoas

lá é que elas irão descobrir a felicidade

se souberem procurar
