A poem
I never saw a moor
by Emily Dickinson
I never saw a moor,
I never saw the sea;
Yet know I how the heather looks,
And what a wave must be.
I never spoke with God,
Nor visited in heaven;
Yet certain am I of the spot
As if the chart were given.

Yet know I how the heather looks,
And what a wave must be.
I never spoke with God,
Nor visited in heaven;
Yet certain am I of the spot
As if the chart were given.

Acho brilhante a comparação, Jo.
E o poema é bonito pela mensagem que encerra!
Como sempre... escolhes o melhor!!!

Jonice,
Is it possible that heaven is where the heart is, as home is where the heart is?

Elsa: irei lá, querida.
Amaral: este foi um dos primeiros poemas em língua inglesa que falou-me à alma quando eu era mocinha.
Terry: in my opinion it sure is, dear.
Erika: parece então que temos algumas escolhas poéticas em comum.

Hi Jon...
Well, this is a beautiful poem, but still I prefer being there, at the moor, but most of all, at the sea...
I guess I'd prefer to be at heaven.
Kisses.

That is so profound!..it's like not understanding a crowd but knowing the individual.
I'd like to contribute a short poem here (not my own):...
History.
History repeats itself,
It has to..nobody listens.

Blas: I believe we go to heaven in many unexpected ways whenever we are happy.
Niall: that is a great little poem and a little great truth.
